How the M3U link is put together
An Xtream Codes M3U link is just your server address followed by a get.php query that carries your login and format options.

- What is the difference between Xtream Codes and an M3U URL?
- They are two ways to reach the same account. Xtream Codes uses three separate fields — server URL, username and password — while an M3U URL bundles all three into a single link ending in get.php. This tool joins your three fields into that single M3U link.
- Which players accept an M3U URL?
- Most do. IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate, VLC, Kodi (via a PVR add-on) and many smart TV apps let you paste an M3U URL directly. If your player instead asks for a server, username and password, use the Xtream Codes login screen and skip the M3U link.
- What do m3u_plus and output=ts mean?
- m3u_plus is the richer playlist format that carries channel logos and group titles, so your channel list looks organised. output=ts sets the stream container to MPEG-TS, which the widest range of players handle. Some setups prefer output=hls or m3u8 — change it in your app if TS will not play.
- Is it safe to build the link here?
- Yes. The link is assembled entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your server, username and password are never sent to OTTV or any third party. That said, treat the finished link like a password — anyone who has it can access your account.
- My provider only gave me a username and password. Where is the server URL?
- The server URL is the host and port for your line, usually shown as something like http://provider.tv:8080 in your welcome message or panel. Without it, no player can connect. Ask your provider for the exact server address if it was not included.
