How to Add an M3U Playlist to an IPTV App.

To add an M3U playlist to an IPTV app, open the app, choose the "Add Playlist" or "M3U URL" option, paste your full OTTV M3U link, and save. The app then downloads your channels and TV guide. An M3U URL is a single web address that contains your whole channel list, so you only paste it once. The same method works in IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate, and most other players.

Step-by-step instructions

Copy your M3U URL

Open your OTTV welcome email and copy the full M3U URL. It usually starts with http:// and ends with parameters like ?username=...&password=...&type=m3u_plus.

Open the add-playlist screen

In IPTV Smarters Pro choose "Load Your Playlist (M3U URL)". In TiviMate choose "Add playlist", then "M3U Playlist". Other apps use a similar "Add M3U" option.

Paste the M3U URL

Paste the full link exactly, with no extra spaces. Give the playlist a name like "OTTV" so you can identify it later.

Save and load

Save the playlist. The app downloads the channel list and EPG, which can take 20–60 seconds the first time.

05·Step 5

Verify it loaded correctly

Open a live channel to confirm playback. If the URL is long and you want to check it first, run it through the OTTV M3U Checker tool before pasting.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Copying only part of the long M3U URL — make sure the entire link, including all parameters, is pasted.
  • Adding hidden spaces or line breaks when copying from email, which breaks the link.
  • Pasting the M3U URL into a Xtream Codes login field instead of the M3U option.

Troubleshooting

The playlist will not load or shows no channels
Re-copy the full URL, remove any spaces, and reload the playlist. Test the same link in a different app to confirm whether the issue is the app or the URL.
Only some channels appear
Force a refresh of the playlist in the app's settings. Partial loads usually mean the download was interrupted by a weak connection.
The link works once then stops
Some networks or ISPs block the IPTV port. Test on a phone hotspot for a minute; if it works there, the block is on your home network.
