How to install Smart STB on Firestick
Installing Smart STB on Firestick comes down to two parts: getting the app onto the device, then signing in with your IPTV details. The Firestick store has no IPTV players, so you sideload the app with the free Downloader tool. Smart STB emulates a MAG box, so it signs in with a portal URL and its own MAC address rather than an Xtream or M3U login.
This guide covers both steps for Firestick, using an OTTV subscription as the example. You'll sign in with a portal URL and the device's MAC address, just like a MAG box.
Install method: Sideload with the Downloader app.
Step 1: get Smart STB onto your Firestick
- 1
Allow app installs
On your Firestick, open Settings → My Fire TV → Developer options and turn on "Install unknown apps" (or "Apps from Unknown Sources") for the Downloader app.
- 2
Install the Downloader app
From the Fire TV search, find the free Downloader app and install it. This is the tool you'll use to sideload Smart STB.
- 3
Download Smart STB
Open Downloader and enter the official download URL for Smart STB from the app's own website. Wait for the APK to finish downloading.
- 4
Install and open
Choose Install, then Open when it finishes. You can delete the APK file afterwards to free up space.
Step 2: sign in with your subscription
- 5
Enter the portal URL
Smart STB signs in like a MAG box: open its settings and enter the portal (Stalker) URL from OTTV.
- 6
Share your MAC address
Smart STB shows a device MAC address. Your provider may need to whitelist it before the portal will connect.
- 7
Reload the portal
Save and reload; your channels and guide appear once the MAC is authorised.
Don't have login details yet? An OTTV free trial gives you a working Xtream Codes and M3U login to test on your Firestick before you commit. See the Set up IPTV on Firestick guide or the Smart STB full guide for more detail.
