How to install IPTV Extreme on Chromecast with Google TV

Installing IPTV Extreme on Chromecast with Google TV comes down to two parts: getting the app onto the device, then signing in with your IPTV details. Chromecast with Google TV runs the Google Play Store for a direct install. IPTV Extreme is a long-standing Android and Fire OS player with an EPG, parental controls and support for an Xtream Codes login or M3U URL.

This guide covers both steps for Chromecast with Google TV, using an OTTV subscription as the example. You'll sign in with an Xtream Codes login — a server URL, username and password.

Install method: Install from the Google Play Store.

Step 1: get IPTV Extreme onto your Chromecast with Google TV

  1. 1

    Open the Google Play Store

On your Chromecast with Google TV, open the Google Play Store from the home screen.

  2. 2

    Search for IPTV Extreme

Search for IPTV Extreme and select it, checking the developer name matches the official app before you install.

  3. 3

    Install and open

Choose Install, wait for it to finish, then open IPTV Extreme.

Step 2: sign in with your subscription

  1. 4

    Choose an Xtream Codes login

In IPTV Extreme, choose to add a playlist or user and pick the "Xtream Codes" / "Login with Xtream Codes API" option.

  2. 5

    Enter your OTTV details

Type the server URL, username and password from your OTTV welcome email exactly as shown, then give the playlist a name you'll recognise.

  3. 6

    Let it load

Save and let IPTV Extreme download your channels, categories and TV guide. The first load can take a minute.

Don't have login details yet? An OTTV free trial gives you a working Xtream Codes and M3U login to test on your Chromecast with Google TV before you commit. See the Set up IPTV on Chromecast with Google TV guide or the IPTV Extreme full guide for more detail.

Frequently asked.

Is IPTV Extreme free on Chromecast with Google TV?
The IPTV Extreme app is free to install on Chromecast with Google TV. You still need an active IPTV subscription to sign in and watch — a few players also charge a one-time fee to unlock extras like recording.
Which login details do I need for IPTV Extreme?
IPTV Extreme signs in with an Xtream Codes login — a server URL, username and password. You can also load a full M3U URL if you prefer. OTTV sends both in your welcome email.
Will the TV guide work in IPTV Extreme on Chromecast with Google TV?
Yes — once your playlist loads, IPTV Extreme fills in the EPG for channels your subscription provides guide data for. A blank guide is usually the EPG source or a player setting rather than the Chromecast with Google TV itself.
